Two Fires Al Alblerfon Yesterday Exringuished '1ii'n fires, which broke out short- lv after one o'clock yesterday at AIIIPIIOII were extinguished after coiisizlernble effort by volunteers and members of the Alberton Fire Dept. While the brigade were at- tempting to control a fire in an go by 30 workshop on the premises of lloivard Clark, they were noti- lied of a barn fire at Edgar John- ston's about half way between Elnisriale and Alberton. Several voluntfeers left for the barn fire hm no fire equipment was avail- able. The firemen fought-a stubborn blaze for almost two hours at Clark's with the fire continually breaking out inside the walls and roof which were Insulated with shavings. Ali machines and tools in the large building were taken outside. The north wall of the work- shop was almost completely dest- royed and heavy damage was caus- ed to the roof and Interior of the building by the fire which spread from a burning pile of rubblshand grass.
