'CHAl1.GE FOLLOWING AC- CIDENT-At Magistrate's Court at Georgetown Wednesday, a member of the R.C.N., a former resident of Peters Rood, pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to stop at the scene of an accident. The accident occurred on the Lower Montague road last week when a' half-ton truck side-swiped a car which was stopped creating damage to both vehicles in excess of 3300.00. After preliminary investigation, the Mon- tague detachment R.C.M.P. ap- prehended the driver, who appear- ed in court Wednesday. A . resident of Montague charged with driving while impair- . ed was fined 305.00 and costs. A resident of Montague was fined 520.00 and coats for posseesio of liquor other than in his residence. The case of a resident of Cardigan charged with drunken driving was withdrawn. A resident of Casper- eaux. one of Cardigan. one of Georgetown and three of Montague. were each lined 82000 and costs for intoxlcstion in a public place. The case of a party from Ga.sper- caux. and one from Murray River on charges of driving intoxicated. were adjourned for one week.
