The first twenty bonaflde ap- plication received will be the twenty accepted. Contestants will be privil- egeil to maintain throughout the year 1 full completemcnt of eight birds. No mules will be included. Fees. The entry fee for each pen will lie One Dollar ($1.) which must accompany the application. Prizes. Suitable prizes will be aw urded the winning pens. Classes. There will be two classes. Class 1 consisting of the Light Breeds and Class 2 consisting of the llenvy Breeds. Delivering the Birds. The birds must be delivered at Charlottetown. express prepaid, between the fifteen- th and twentieth of October, nine- teenf eighteen. The shipment should be addressed ‘]Laylng Contest. Ex .psrimental Farm, Charlottetown" and must also have the name and uddresr of the shipper plainly marked on the shipping crate. Rejection of Birds. Any birds arriv- ing in ii sick condition may at the _discretion of the Contest Superin- tendent be rejected and either des- troyed 'or shipped back to the owner.. None but pure bred birds will be so cepted and only those breeds thai lay ii. marketable sized egg. Thr Superintendent also will have th< right to clip the wings of any birds that may prove troublesome. The Standard for Judging. The rat- ing of the -birds or pens will be de- _termlned by the number, together with the size, the uniformity and marketing value of the eggs. The Canadian standards for agus will be adhered to. Feed and Care.
