WMS Meeting The December meeting of the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Society, Montague, was held at the home of Mrs. A. D. MacLure. Tues- day evening, and was conducted by Mrs. D. A. Campbell. The theme of the meetin was Luke 211 "For unto you is rn this day in the city of David a saviour which is Christ the lord". The call to worship, hymn 171. was read by Mrs. Campbell, fol- lowed by prayer in unison. The scripture lesson, Luke 21-20, was read in unison with the exposition by Mrs. Campbell. A season of prayer closed with the Lord's Pray- er in unison. A devotional period closed with the hymn "Silent Night, Holy Night". Roll call was answered with a verse of Scripture containing the word youth. The minutes of the last meet- ing were read by the secretary, Mrs. A. D. The programme opened with the singing of "0 Canada." in which over 'one hundred Knights and League members took part. The P. sident, Mrs. Art Psquet. read an address of welcome from the League. In it, she welcomed the Dr. and his wife as citizens of the town and members of St. Mary's Parish and hoped their stay among us to be pleasant as well as pro- fitable. Rev. E. Steele read an address from the Knights of Columbus, pledging their support when ever and wherever needed. The highlight of the programme was the presentation of some lov- ely gifts. Mrs. John J. MacDonald present- ed a blanket from Sourls Sub-dlvi- sion; Mrs. Bemard Hughes, a bed- spread from Sourls River Unit C. W. L. Mrs. Peter MacAulay pre- sented a card table from Chep- stow and Little Harbour Unit C. W. L.; Mrs. Dan Bushey present- ed ii scatter rug from Sourls Line Road South Unit C. W. L.; Mr. Joseph Campbell presented a smok- ing stand the Knights of Colum- bus and Mrs. Melvin McQuaid pre- sented a blanket from the Staff of Sourls Hospital.
