Mrs. sylvere Chiasson and Mrs. Julie Poitier, who were delegates for the Leoviile Branch. , -s -The death occurred. at Tig- nish on Wednesday morning, July 12. of Mrs. Jeanne Gaudet in her seventy-fifth year. The late Mrs. Gaudet was a woman of true Christian spirit: her charity and generosity knew no bounds, her cheerful and pleasant manner en- deared her to both old and young alike. and countless are the ones left to mourn the loss of a dear friend. Mrs. Gaudet is survived by one daughter. Mary. (Mrs. John Arsenault). with whom she lived and who tenderly and lovingly cared for and nursed her mother through her last illness. Mrs. Gaudet was a staunch member of the Roman Catholic Church and was until two months previous to her death, faithful to all church duties and always ready to help in any work which was for the betterment of the church or com- munity. During her illness. she was hequentl, visited by her pas- tor, Reverend J. A. MacDonald. and his curate. Reverend L. B. Dooley and was comforted by re- ceiving the Sacraments of the church. she was a charter mem- ber of the Catholic Womenta Ian- gue. which was formed in the par- iah twenty-eight years ago. and during that time took a most ac- tive part in the League wcrk. On the morning of her funeral. her sister members of the C. W. L. marched in procession after the mourners from her home to the church and attended Mass in a body. A Requiem High Man was sung by Reverend J. A. MacDon- aid, auiated by the Parish choir. she was laid to seat in the ad- joining cemetery beside her hus- band and only son.
