The real facts of the accident are as follows: Mr. Simpson was returning from New Lon- don to his home in Hope River, when, just as he was at his own gate, his horse, taking fright, became unmanageable, One of the shafts of the wagon having been broken, Mr. Simpson found it impossible to control the animal, and before he could think bimself of what to do, he was pitched violently out against a stump of a tree. His little child, who was with him, was also thrown out, and its loud cries attracting attention, assistance was soon on the spot. The child was, strange to say, unhurt; bet Mr. Simpson had received injuries from the effects of which be died this worning.
