PROVINCIAL PARKS — SKI REPORT For a daily report on ski conditions in Provincial Parks, listen to Island radio stations. Several Island newspapers also carry the Ski Report. Ski conditions are also available by calling Provin- cial Parks at 368-5540 (Monday to Friday), Brookvale Provincial Ski Park of 658-2925, Brudenell River Pr0vin- cial Park at 652-2356 or Mill River Provincial Park at 859-2448 during operating hours. The Ski Report describes conditions by (1) Base Snow - amount of snow coverage on trails or slopes (in centimeters) (2) Surface C0ndition - defined as powder, packed powder, wet snow, corn snow, etc. Skiing in Provincial Parks (3) Slope or Trail Condition Our parks remain open year-round and they are perfect places for winter picnics, snowshoeing and cross-c0untry skiing. Brudenell River, Mill River and Brookvale Provincial Parks offer groomed and tracked cross-country ski trails and a rental shop at each loca- tion.
