McAleer which occurred at his home on March 11th. in hie sev- enty second year. Although not in robust health for some time. his death came as e'complete shock to all who knew him.. l-le was wide and favourably known as a man of sterling quali- ties and was highly respected by his many friends who will sad- ly mourn his passing. The decess-‘ ed was the son of the late James McAieer and Catherine "Duffy and lived his whole life on the old homestead in 5t. Patrick's. Be- sides his sorrowing wife, formerly Annie Kelly of Kelly's Cross, there are left to mourn one daughter and two sons, Mary, Mrs. Albert Murphy, Norboro. J Wilfred of St. Patrick's and Gavin at home? There are also thirteen grand- children. One brother John L. of Charlottetown end three sisters, Sarah, Mrs. John Elliott, Annie and Catherine all of Boston pre- deceased him some years ego. The funeral which was largely attended was held from his_ late residence to 5t. Ann's Church, Hope River on March 19th. Ser- vice at the grove was conducted by his pasta- Rev..- Earl Dalton. March 19th being the feast of St. Joseph Requiem High Mess was celebrated by his pastor Rev. Ear! Dalton on March 20th. Interment look place in the Catholic Ceme- tery. - The pail bearers were: Messrs. Ambrose I-ferrell, Peter Goodman, Emmett McGuigan. Alexis Mur- phy, Lesming Proctor and Leo Gallant.
