A vol! pleasant evening was spent at
the Wont Royalty Bass Ball meet last
Thursday evening which was held at J.
Bell‘s. The 'next meeting will be held on
Wednesday evening next at the Point
Farm. The meetings ara changed from
Thursday to Wednesday evening.
ON Thursday night the guests at the
Acadia Hotel gave an entertainment con-
sisting of beautiful living pictures in
honor of Mr. and Mrs. Andrews who
started for home on Friday after a sojourn
ot three weeks among the sylvan beauties
of Traoadie Beach. Under the able
management ot Rev. Mr. Morgan of
Boston an-i Miss MacGougan, St. Louis,
the entertainment could not be anything
buta. success. Many of the costumes
were very beautiful, "Lygia,” “Highland
Mary,” and “Mary Queen of Scots,” being
exceptionally so. After the entertainment
music and dancing were indulged in and
wound up by several speeches. Mr.
Andrews gave a farewell speech in
which he referred in glowing terms to
the good times he had while at the
Acalia. _
