WELL SUPPLIED.-Charlottetown seems to have bandsmeu in abundan- ce so much so that another band has been started in order that each man should be utilized. The new hand is called the Charlottetown Brass Band, and made its first appearance on Charlottetown streets on Sunday last, when some excellent music was rendered. '1‘he band also turned out with the L. P. U. on Labor Day and supplied the music for the sports in the afternoon. Tye leader of the new band is Mr. ohn McFarlane, formerly leader of the Fourth Reg- iment Band and Messrs Johnson, N. McFarlane, Cairns, and J. and C. Doyle, formerly of the Fourth Reg- im.-:nt band are also members of the new band. Charlottetown ought not to be wanting any in the way of band music with four brass bands. WEDDING BELLS.-The marriage of Miss Ethel M. Bridges, daughtermt Mr. Phillip Bridges of this city, to Mr. Ersain P. Stavert, son of Mr. Peter Stavert of Wilmot, P. E. I., Accountant of the Canadian Bank of Commerce at Amherst, took place at seven o'clock yesterday morning in Zion Church, the Pastor Rev. George C. Taylor uriiciating. This was the first wedding to be solemnized in the new church, which was artistically decorated with golden glow and palms. Both bride and groom were unattended. The bride was attired in a travelling suit of blue with hat to match and carried a bon uet of hrid relatives the Guardian tenders sin- cere sympathy. Church. D His remains will be accompanied to this City by Dr. and Mrs. Moore, ar- riving on Thursday evening. The funeral will be held on Saturday. A telegram received in Charlotte- town announces the death yesterday morning, September 2nd, of Miss Annie Carr, daughter of the, late Rev Dr. Carr, Campbellton, N. B,. Miss _Carr had been in delicate health for several years, but by loving care, the best medical attention and her own patient and hopeful disposition her tenure of life had been proloriged and the hopes of her family and friends for her ultimate rec‘overy were buoy- ed up until a, few weeks ago when it was realized that the end was in sight. Her only sister Mrs. Thomas McNutt, Malpeque, was called to her bedside two weeks ago and was with her when the end came. The deceas- ed was a most loveable young woman bright, cheerful and patient, even during her at times painful illness and a host of friends will sincerely mourn her death _ She leaves to mourn, her widowed mother, one sister, above named, four brothers, James, Principal of the Campbellton High School, Hugh A., a lawyer in Csmpllellton, Percy Bank Manager, St. John's Nfld., and Fred, account- ant, Campbellton.
