This or- ganization holds its meetings in Prince of Wales College, Charlottetown. on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 o'clock u. rn. The officers and executive endeavour to have an interesting programme, con- sisting of papers and discussions rela- tive io the subjects they are teaching, so that teachers will find it both plen- sant and advantageous to bo present. During each session a question box is passed around thereby giving teachers a chance to _have any dlilicultics they meet with answered. Mathematical problems etc., will also be solved by a committee appointed for that purpose. There has been now placed before the teachers somc‘of'the objects of thc organization and some of the benefits to be tferivcd from it will now be given. The first, is an attempt at bet- ter educationin the Inspectorate. The second to have as lunch as possible, "tho one system" oi' teaching. This can he done by meeting and discuss- ing the methods oi' the successful teachers who are present, and utiliz- ing their systems. This also gives thu young and inexperienced teacher thc privilege of following in the foot- steps of older and experienced ones. it will also foster a more professional spirit among teachers. Those of the teaching profession should bear in mind that although licensed to he educators of the youth of this province, they have much yet to learn. and this can be done through f cooperation which is one of the prin- ciples of the Association. The oill- cers are fully aware that a number of the teachers are far from the railway and such like conveniences and that it will entail some sacrifice on their part to he present. but then teaching is a sacrificing profession and in order to accomplish the task undertaken one must be prepared to meet with cheerfulness whatever difficulties that may arise. -At the next session which will take place on Jan. 23rd. inspec- tor Crockett ‘will give a general re- port of the schools of the Inspector- ate, and every 'teacher under his su- pervision should try and make 11 spe- cial effort -to be in attendance. Trust- ini; this wlllmerlt the approval of all fellow-teacliers and that they will en- courage the 'eilorls one and all by at- t lending the next regular incctlng. ` llAltV-EY (lilitlST0l'Hl~lit. lllorlnaid, Jan. 13th, "lit EUMFUHTS [li HUME" ing colle WI LL CONCENTRATE n three-quarters of an hour.
