     Needless to say, this 
     
     enterprising young woman 
     
     got right down to business. 
     
     Everything worked out to 
     
    
     perfection. The library was 
     
    
     the perfect place for the 
     
     statue, and with all that 
     
     empty space it housed the

     thing quite nicely. so, 
     
     dear reader, we reach the 
     
     end of this tale...of that 
     
     fateful day when a crises, 
     
     met with prudence and skill, 
     
     caused Stagnant Services to.

     The Sad Lament of the Beauty Contest Judge:- 
     
    
     Were you aware that Maid 
     
     Marion was indeed a judge 
     
     of a beauty contest? Yes 
     
     folks, the contest was 
     
     last April and it was an- 
     
     other one for the anals 
     
     of Stagnant Services, or 
     
     is it the circular files? 
     
    
     It all happened in this 
     
     delightful manner! Once 
     
     upon a time a_student was 
     
    
     interview because she did 
     
     not meet the necessary 
     
     ‘qualifications. It wasn't 
     
     that the qualifications 
     
     were that difficult to m 
     
     meet, for they were that 
     
     the student be a girl, be 
     
     a freshman or a sophomore,‘ 
     
     be outgoing, didn't mind. 
     
     talking to strangers and 
     
     .be relatively good looking. 
     
    
     fanpower called up Maid 
     
     Marion and asked her if 
     
     this student had all 
     
    
     these qualifications. 
     
    
     Good ole' Maid Marion said 
     
     that she did -— all but 
     
     one. According to the ex— 
     
     pert eye of our lovable 
     
    
     ' judge the student was not 
     
    
     ’good looking. As'a conse-
