Practically all his lfe hadbeen spent on the old homestead, Freetown. until about three years ago, paving to lll health, he had to give up farming. Since that time he had been a great suf- ferer, but he bore it ell with Christian ‘fortitude, seeming to accept suffering 9s his lot. Russell possessed many fine qualities; his humor and original wit won for him countless friends. both old and young. Nothing seem- ed too much trouble to hlrn and his generosity and kind-hearted acts will long be remembered by all who were privileged to know him. He was active in all commun- ity affairs and also church activ- ties.
