But the Supreme Arbiter of Life otherwise decreed, and the hand of fate smote him heavily. The deceased was the son of the Rosetta Donald. his wife, and was born in Burlington in 1882. During adolescence. he attended the coni- mon school in his native district. and here he proved himself to be no hard grit, lye or acids.
