vp OPERATIONS Hello! Welcome back for another year of registration, frustration, and recreation at UPEI. I hope everyone had a great summer. My sum- mer was realy hectic. Sud- denly, one day I looked up from my papers and there was September staring me in the face (and boy was it in- timidating!) So here we go again! Last March I was elected Vice President Operations for the UPEI Student Union. As VPO it will be my duty to co-ordinate the social itinerary for the UPEISU. I will oversee the activi- ties of the Panther Lounge Manager and the campus Police Chief, and act as a liason with the campus sub-organizations. Another duty is to be responsible for CIMN radio, ”the Island’s only alternative”. I take these roles very seriously, and will be work- ing very hard to see them performed to the best of my abilities. That doesn’t mean that I am too busy to talk to you. If anyone has any questions or suggestions, ei- ther stop me in mid-flight be- tween classes or drop down to the Barn. I’ll be in my of- fice on Tuesdays and Thurs- days, minus a couple of hours for classes. Remember, this Student Union is not simply a council plus some employ- ees. It is every one of us... your interest and participa- tion keeps the Barn doors swinging.
