     Founded some 25 years ago by Mr. Joseph Shama the 
     
     business is carried on by members of his family and has 
     
     continued to grow resulting in a complete modernization 
     
     and expansion program. 
     
    

    
     The transformation of the store is startling. It is a 
     
     far cry from the old type grocery establishment to the 
     
     modern self-service market. The shopper can quickly spot 
     
     any article and with the aid of a shopping cart can con- 
     
     veniently gather and make purchases. The store has been 
     
     enlarged to provide all the popular features of the mod- 
     
     ern super market. 
     
    

    
     The whole lower floor of the building has been com- 
     
     pletely renovated and the large show windows provide an 
     
     attraction to promote the sale of goods. A huge walk-in 
     
     refrigerator makes it possible for Shama's to maintain a

     large stock of meats and supplies that must be safe- 
     
     guarded in proper temperatures. There is also the display 
     
     refrigeration for immediate service. 
     
    

    
     The store itself, offers many interesting features to 
     
     daily shoppers. Three well-stocked islands provide attrac- 
     
     tion to the centre portion of the building and the wall 
     
     shelving combines the latest features in this type of gro- 
     
     cery sales business. 
     
    

    
     The remodelling work in this splendid new store was 
     
     done by Mr. A. A. MacDonald, well-known builder. The 
     
     electrical installation was by Mr. Lawrence Kelly and the 
     
     heating and plumbing by Bevan Bros. The refrigeration 
     
     was installed by Palmer Electric. 
     
    

    
     The new store will give greater service to the cus- 
     
     tomers it has served so faithfully for many years, and the 
     
     community in which it is immediately located: 
     
    

    
     Manager of the store is Mr. William Shama. Featur- 
     
     ed today and continuing until Monday, December 4th, is
