A., who during the course of his remarks thanked the peo- ple for their support to him in the last provincial election. Dr. L. G. Dewar. M. L. A... was the first speaker. He re- vived and explained the finan- cial grant from Ottawa and pointed out how generous this province had been treated com- pared to other provinces. The second speaker, Mr. J. A. MacDonald, P. C. Candidate for Kings, reviewed the accomplish- ments of the Diefenbaker Gov- ernment during their nine-month tenure of office and set forth the policies to be followed if the P. C. ‘S are re-elected. The next speaker was Mr. W. R. Shaw, who explained in de- tail the agricultural price stabil- ization bill. Mr. Melvin lVIcQuaid, presi- dent of the Progressive Conser- vative Association for Prince Edward Island, spoke on the social security measurers. He was followed by Senator J. J. MacDonald and Mr. Pratt. Both generalized the P. C. pollicies. The last speaker Don Mac- Dougall, prime minister of the S. D. U. Model Parliament spoke on the part youth should play in politics.
