PROVINCIAL PARKS W NAIURALL! EITIIIAINING Provincial Parks are planning a very busy summer season with several new interpretive programs and activities. Brudenell River Provincial Park initiated a Park Interpretation Week in July, 1988. That week culminated in a two-day Nature Festival which proved very popular. This year Mill River, Cabot and Cedar Dunes Provincial Parks are joining with Brudenell on July 10-16 to make this an Island—wide celebration. Throughout the week, park staff will be presenting nature walks, demonstrations and interpretive campfires in addition to the regularly scheduled programs. The Nature Festival will once again be the highlight of Parks Interpretation Week. Events planned during the weekend include canoe hikes, nature painting, nature . crafts, and the ever-popular birdathons. For more information on specific times and events, contact either Brudenell River at 652-2356 (ask for Robert Ferguson) or Mill River at 859-2448 (ask for Kelly Hatters). Interpretive programming was offered in Cedar Dunes Provincial Park for the first time in 1988. The West Point Lighthouse will serve as the focal point of this seasons program and the program line-up has been expanded. Both eastern and western regions have many new activities planned, so it looks like an exciting summer season for Provincial Parks and we hope you will again be part of it. ‘ 1" ‘ F —Naturally Entertaining. m u
