The correct returns were ninety-seven in favor of Prohibition and twenty for Government Control-L. BANK GIVES AWAY THREE DROWNED EDMONTON. July 24.—Three per- sons met death by drowning when ihe river bank on which they were standing gave way during open-air religious services 80 miles south of Hemaruka, Alta, according to in- formation received here. Hemaruka is 16 miles south of the town of Veteran. The victims of the drowning were Nick Zaporazan, his wife and niece, Annie Zaporazan, aged -8. Eight persons were standing on the bank when it gave way riverwards but five succeeded in escaping from the turbulent waters. The river at this point is 20 feet deep.
