Henry Fisher, who lives some little dis— tance from Warrior Ran, was on his way home, between eleven -and twelye o’clock at night, when he was stopped in a dark place in the road by three robbers and ordered to give up his money and valu ables. Not disposed to do so without an effort to escape, he started to ran, but was knocked down. He grappled with one cf his assailants and was surprised to find that the robber was clad in skirts and had long hair, which became ioosened in the struggle Two femine shrieks also convinced him that the footpads were women. The struggie was brief, for the two others com- ing to the assistance of their comrade again felled Fisher to the ground, took his watch, some change and his pocketbook and ran away. - ~ Fisher gave the alarm, but by the time other men had reached the spot there was bo Fign of the daring women.
