The death of John Brownell Thompson occurred at his residence, Robinson street, at eight o'clock this morning. ’l‘he deceased was sev- enty-six years of age, and leaves a wife, one son, and one daughter; his first wlfe's children, W.K. Thonlpsoll, of Calgary, Alta, is the son, and Mrs John Berry, wife of Conductor Berry of this city, is the daughter. Mr. Thompson has been in poor heal- th for the past three years having suffered from apoplexy some years ago. Mr. Thompson was born in Up- per Sackville where he lived until he moved to Moncton, about .20 years ago, where he was employed first as policeman, and later employed by the I. G. R., for a numlber of years. Owing to ill health Mr. Thonlpsull gave up his employment about three years since. Mr. Thonlpson's first wifc was Miss Mary Kinnear, of Sackville, wllo died eleven years sin- ce, after which he married Miss Em- ma Webster, of Kengsington, l‘. E. I. Mr. Tliompson also leaves three bro- thers, Charles, Clifford, and Fred all of Upper rlackville. The iuneral will take place on Saturday morning, a short sservice will be held at the house Robinson Street at 9.3_0 0:- clocll after which the holly wlll be taken to Sackville on No. 2 train for interment.
