is being done and can be done by
Motor Leagues in rendering ser-
vice to careful drivers.
The usefulness of the emergency
road service and legal advice was
demonstrated by the large number
of members calling on these De-
partments for service.
Every year our members are get-,
ting more familiarircd with the?
road service, and have taken ad-‘
vantage or our ofllcial garages, lo-
cated in every centre in the Pro-
vince, with the number of calls for
service increasing each year. The
service calls this year averldllll
$2.70 per call, the lowest average
since the inauguration of road ser-
vice to our members. It is pleasing
to say that in every case satisfac-
tory servioe was given to members;
and satisfactory settlements made.i
The services of Messrs. Thane
Campbell. Bummerside and Bell er
Matheson, Charlottetown and Mon-
tague, were retained as legal soli-
citors for our legal Department.
This department proved to be of
great assistance to our members in
giving free legal advice on all mat-
ters pertaining to motor-ing and
advice in case of collisions etc., and
in all cases satisfactory settlement
of`claima for damages arising out
of traffic accidents were made.
_Our touring information bureau
carried on at 101 Queen Street was
well patroulaed by visiting motor-
isle. as well as our local people
and as usual, a Branch Oiilce of
the League was carried on in Sum-
morside, with Miles Doris Walker
in charge.
