Regatta Scheduled For Today The Lower Montague Regatta takes place today and will fea- ture lobster boats, speed boats. swimming events, amusements of all kinds. A delicious supper and . big dance in the I sing. It promises to be an exc ing day for all who attend. Last year the large crowd was thrilled by the close V airing of each race. A large num r of sall- ing craft are expected to like part this year and will provide a great deal of entertainment for all. There is a perfect beach for the children and lots of things to keep them amused while the parents watch the races, which can be viewed from many points along the river. The ladies have pre- paired a delicious supper for ev- eryone, consisting of ham,.chick- en, and strawberry short-cake. Several lovely itrophys have been donated, including one by Mr. J o h n W. Maclntyre. Attleboro. Mass., who is an annual summer resident of Lower Montague. Mr. Maclntyre has always taken a very' active interest in this regatta. Last year he donated one for the free-for-all which was won by Mr. Vincent Turpel. Pictou Island, and will be in competition again this year. The trophy donated by Mr. Macintyte this year is for the out board motor class. A lovely trophy was donated by Mr. Carl Bochner of Montague for straight dash of fishing boats.
