Society News. U.P.E.L. History Society News The U.P.E.I. history society has gotten off to another great start in this fall semester of 1990. After many members graduated from U.P.E.I. last year it was thought the society would be much smaller, this however will not be the case as many new faces have come out for our meetings and there is a lot of interest from students. If you are a history major, are thinking about following a history path, or if you’re just interested in having fun with other people than the history society is the gang to join. the society has regular meetings every Wednesday at 11 am in the gorgeous History lounge (The most beautiful room on Campus) located in Room 301 on the third floor of Main Building. This year we are having a major event already. On Saturday Sept. 29. the history society is having another of its famous "historical bashes". President Graham Durden has invited everyone interested in having a ball to his home, the historical Bimstead estate. This beautiful estate overlooking the Hillsborough river is located at the end of Heartz Road in East Royalty. The corn boil will start at 3 pm and in all likelihood not end until Sunday (who knows). Thanks for your interest and enthusiasm, see you at the bash or at our meetings on Wednesday. P.S. Corn boil bash goes except for rain.
