McKinnon kindly, opened her home to the members of the Wo- men's Institute and the W.. P. A. and their friends for ii. musicalc for Red Cross benefit. That the programme was enjoyed by all was shown by the hearty and persistent _encores follow- ing each number. The soloists were: Miss A'nnie Sutherland, Miss Lucy Mc- Lean, Mr. S. S. Hessian and Mr. Geo. Mclntyre. There was also a piano solo by Mrs. G. H. Henry, a piano duet by Mrs. G. Ellis and Miss Helen Mc- Lean, a reading with inusicale accom- paniment by Miss Lilian McDonald and ii. duet (in costume) by Misses Mary"McIntyre and Hazel Campbell. Next iii order came a Grocery Contest prizes being awarded to the success- ful guessers. Iii this contest Miss Ola, McDonald won first prize for -ladies' and Mr. M. F. McDonald for gentlemen while Mr. D. L. McKinnon carried off the Consolation.
