His condition became worse and he passed away on the above mentioned date. The deceased, ‘son of the lat Malcolm Gillis and his wife Jane Bell, was born at Orwel Cove on November 21, 1670. } 1873, he moyed to Montague witi his parents where he resided th rest of his life. A painter hy trade, he was well and favorabk known for his excellent quiet maaner and his genial per sonality. His wife, forme Isobel Graham of Murray Har bour North, died in 1924. An onl brother, John’ Alfred, predeceas ed him in 1939. Surviving is one daughter Phoebe, who devotedly eared fo her father since the death c her mother thirty-four year ago: Also surviving, are tw nephews, two nieces and a nur ,| ber of cousins.
