firm held un option on $80,000 of the

expire till Nov. lst, 1914, a closing
out oi' the year's business was pre-
vented before that date. This firin is

Dinnis Pedigreed Foxes, Ltd.. ,
Ladies and Gentlemen,-
We beg to submit for your con.
sideration the following detailed report
ot' the year's business.
The Company commenced operations
last autumn with eleven (11) pairs
of silver foxes, all registered in the
Prince Edward island Silver Fox
Breeders' Association. Today there
are in the breeding pens nineteen pairs
ot pedigreed silver foxes.
At it special meeting held March
25th, 1914, the Company resolved to
extend its breeding operations by
retaining the young foxes whelped
during the 1914 season and issuing
share capital to the piibllc on this
additional asset. Supplementary
letters patent were obtained, authoris-
ing the Company to issue up to $750,000
of capital stock. Thereupon the
Directors put un issue of $200,000 on
the mitrket. and the President and
Secretary were authorised to proceed
with the disposal of it, twenty (20) per
cent. of the par value oi the shares
being set aside for agents' commis-
sions, advertising and expenses ol'
sale.
Had all this issue been taken up the
Company would have paid over sixty
(60) Der cent. in dividends to the
shareholders. During the early sum-
mer months your Drectors had every
reason to believe that this issue would
be quickly disposed of. The depress-
ing trade conditions which followed
the declaration of the European war
affected the industry very adversely
and caused quite a falling off in the
sale of stock.
Up to Nov. 21st, 1914. two hundred
and seventy-nine (279) shares (par
value $100) have been subscribed and
fully paid up. Partial payments have
been received on fifty-six (56) addi-
tionul shares.
The Directors have sufficient money
on hand after deducting the expenses
ot' the current year, to warrant them
paying a dividend of eight (8) per
tgznt. and expect to be able to declare
an additional cash dividend by the
end of the year. This will depend on
the contingency ol the unpaid balances
on shares already subscribed being
paid up, or additional shares being
subscribed.
The Directors propose to allot to
the old shareholders whatever shares
rcmuin unsubscribed and fully paid
up hy Dec. 31, 1914. This is subject
lo conditions and resolutions which
may be embodied in thc ininutes of
the annual meeting.
To facilitate the distribution of this
stock, the Directors pursuuiif, to it
t-solution carried at tho regular annunl
meeting on October 13th, have applied
i'or supplemeiitury letters patent
authorising the dlvisioii ot' the one
liuiuired dollar shares into ten shares
of ten,doliars each.
The financial statement will be 'sub-
mitted by the Secretary-Treasurer for
your consideration and approval.

The very successful football record
of St Duustun’s College was raised
another notch yesterday afternoon,
when the senior team from that instl~
tutton defeated the Connaughts in the
final game of the series, thereby win-
ning the, championship.
The game was played on a dirty
field, too muddy for much fast work;
despite this. hvwever. the same was
not at all dull, and at periods some
very brilliant flashes of play took
place.
The'St Dunstan‘s kicked off in the
first half. This half might be called
the Conns half," as the boys ot' the
red and white were compelled to rouge
as often as four times. The (lonns
repeatedly got the bull down to their
opponents line, but seemed unable to
get the ball over. The scrum ol’ thu
Conns was not working well, wliereus
the Saints scrum worked like ti
inacliino. The Conns continued to
rush their opponents, meeting re-
verses which would llemoralise their
play for a time, but as the whistle
blew for halftime, however, they had
just sent the ball from their end for
one ol' the prettiest plays of the game.

The superior practice and training
of the College boys was clearly evi-
dent in the second half, although the
Conns were by no means a spent force,
showing wonderful endurance with the
little training they have had.
Although tho. Conns improved .in
the scrum somewhat in this half, the
Saints opened out their play better
and kept their opponents principally
on the defensive. .
It took the Saints fully twenty min-
utes hard play_ to overcome the
stubborn resistance ‘of the Conns and
touch dowiif the' biill/ , The Saints
dribbled to the Conns ond und iii thc
ensuing play (‘,ni'raii got. the ball and
went over the line, uinid the thunder-
ous applause of the lusty College
rooters. Curran further excelled him-
self by converting with one oi' the

The Conns tried hard to cvcu up
matters, but were uiisuccessi'iil, and
the game ended five minutes later with
the Saints the victors by the sz-ore 'of
5-0 and also the cliiiinpions of the
series.
