Before presenting this wonderful cleansing rem- edy to the North American public, Dr. Rapwar was determined to test its medicinal powers for the cure of the clasg of digeases for which it ia prescribed in the South American Provinces, as it isa fact well known to all physiologists that SCROFULA, LEPROSY, SYPHILIS, and ite horrible train of concomitants, prevail in the tropical regions of the South, to a much greater and more malignant degree than in the North. In fact there is scarcely » fumily in any of the South Am- erican Provinces that ia free from Scrofula, or its kindred diseases. It runs in the blood of all its people, and has become established as a constitu- tional infirmity, and bas baffled the skill of their best physicians. With knowledge of these facts, Dr. Rapway was determined to test the accuracy of RADWAY’S KENOVATING RESOLVENT, which was prepared expressly to meet the exigen- cies of the diseases, as developed in the tropics. Large eapplies were sept to Brazil, Buenos Ayres, Chili, Pera, Equador, Venezuela, Bolivia, New Grenada, and to several islands of the Spanish main, and was thoroughly tested by Physicians and the Priesthood, and is now the official remedy used by the Physicians, under the name of * Sclutivo Reno- vador de Radway,’’ (the Spanish tor Radway’s Re- novating Resolvent,) in the treatment of Scrofala, Syphilis, Uicers, Tumors, Prolapeus Uteri, Klepban- tiasis, Krysipelas, Saint Anthony's Fire, St. Vitas’ Dance, Fever Sozes, ull diseasey of the Skin, humors in the Blood, white swellings, Nodes, Cankers, sures in the mouth, deafness, discharges from the eyes, ears, and nose, glandular swellings, dropsy and constitutional diseases. A QUESTION OF THE MILLION ANSWERED. con te ts saAT RADWAY’S READY RELIEF Possesses such wonderful remedial powers as to cure so many diseases of apparently opposite phenowena? We reply that Radway Keady Relief chief and most important remedial efficacy, is evinced in the immediate arrest of pain, and its potency in the treatment of such diseazes and maladies, where pain is a concomitant of the diseuse. Disease, like the storm, gives unmistakeable signs of its approach. At first the threatened patient ex periences a slight discomfort, this followed with pain to # greater or less extent, and other symptoms fol- low in rapid succession It is in this condition of the system where Radway'’s Ready Relief wili be | found all-potent. Its administration, either tter- | nally or externally, as the seat of pain indicates, will arrest the progress of the threatened disense, and quickly relieve the patient from all pain or dis- comfort. If people, on the first indication of uneasiness or ain, either slight or severe, would take @ dose of dway’s Ready Relief, not one in a thousand would ever be troubled with sickness. WHEN THREATENED WITH Croup, Diptheria, Influenza, Sore Throat, Scarlet Fever, Typhoid Fever, Poeumonia, Bilious Fever, Small Pox, Measles, Fever and Ague, Chilis and Fever, Headache, Rilious Cholic, Diarboea, Dysen- tery, Cholera, Cramps and Spasms,—let Radwey's Ready Relief be freely used, and, in » short time, a!) pain and uneasiness will cease, and the threatened disease expelled from the system. IF SEIZED With either of the above diseases, the use of RAD- WAY'S RBADY RELIEF will ensure a speedy cure. “IT CURES SO MANY DISEASES, * And therefore |’ll have none of it,” says the skep- tic; now we appeal to the common sense of any rea- sonable being who has had the least experienee iv medivine taking, or businesa relations with Physi- cians, if this is sound reasoning. RADWAY'S READY RELIEF Is not recommended by us, nor prescribed for so many varieties of disease as every physician in the practice of medicine, prescribes Calomel, Mercury, Quinine, Merptine, Opium and other favorite hobbys of the profession, It is a well known fact that in the name of the disease or the condition of the patient, Calomel forms the important and the most active agent of the prescription; and ifthe symp- toms of the disease are such as to leave any doubt in the mind of tue physician as to arriving at a decided conciusion what to give, he gives Calome!. This is au ancient landssark of the profession, which no in- novation has ever been suffered to alter. WEIGH FACTS. When we tell the public that the use of Radway’s Ready Relief will cure the sick of certain diseases, plication; that it will protect the system against at- tucks of all malarious, contagious and infectious dis- eases, we bave the facts to establish the truth of eur statements, acknowledged by thousands who hare proved ite unfailing powers on their own persons. Gu where you will, speak of Radway’s Beady Lelief in any assemblage of persons, some one or more will bear witness of deriving benefit frow its use. IN MILITARY CAMPS. There is no place so well calculated to test the use- fulness of a specific medicine as a military camp Radway’s Ready Relief bas been used in al moat every camp throughout the Grand Army of the Union with the happiest success. Letters from Brigade and Ke- gimental surgeons, Officers, and privates assure ur that Radway’s Ready Relief bas contributed more t the protectivn of the troops against disease, and to icines used or means suggested by the medical au- thorities. tADWAY S READY RELIEF Will stop pain and restore the sufferer to ease and comfort in a few minutes after its use. It never fails to afford relief to the patient IN CASES OF Rheumatism, Neuralgia, Lumbago, Tic Doloreux, Gout, Toothache, Sciatice, Face Ache, Ear Ache, Numbness, Swollen Joints, Sprains, Lameness, Strains, Pain in the Kidneys, Wounds, Pain in the Biadder, Asthma, Difficult Breathing, Pleuriay, Pain in the Side, Small of the Back, Shoulders, Spive, [ts use will, iu a few minutes, relieve you of pain, decay. The scrofulous contamination is va- riously caused by mercurial disease, low living, disordered digestion from unhealthy food, impure air, filth and filthy habits, the depressing vices, and, above all, by the venerea] infection. Whatever be itz origin, it is hereditary in the constitution, descending ‘‘from parents to children unta the third and fourth generation ;” indeed, it scems to be the rod of Him whe says, “ I will visit the iniquities of the fathers upon their children.” The diseases it originates take various names, according to the organs it attacks. In the lungs, Scrofula produces tubercles, and finally Consumption, in the glands, swellings which suppurate and be- come ulcerous sores; in the stomach and bowels, derangements which produce indi- gestion, dyspepsia, and liver complaints ; on the skin, eruptive and cutaneous affections. These, all having the same origin, require the same remedy, viz., purification and invigora- tion of the blood, Purify the blood, and these dangerous distempers leave you. With feeble, foul, or corrupttd blood, you cannot have health; with that “life of the flesh” healthy, you cannot have scrofulous disease. Ayer’s Sarsaparilla is compounded from the most effectual anti- dotes that medical science has discovered for this afflicting distemper, and for the cure of the disorders it entails. ‘That it is far supe- rior to any other remedy yet devised, is known by all who have given itatrial. That it does combine virtues truly extraordinary in their effect upon this class of complaints, is indisputably proven by the great multitude of publicly known and remarkable cures it has made of the following diseases: King’s Evil, or Glandular Swellings, Tumors, Eruptions, Pimples, Blotches and Sores, Erysipelas, Rose or St. Anthony’s Fire, Salt Rheum, Scald Head, Coughs from tuberculous deposits in the lungs, White Swellings, Debility, Dropsy, Neuralgia, pia or Indigestion, Syphilis and Syphilitic Infections, Mercurial Diseases, ‘emale Weaknesses, 2nd, indeed, the whole series of complaints that arise from impurity of the blood. Minute reports of individual cases may be found in AyerR’s AMERICAN ALMANAC, which is furnished to the druggists for gratuitous distribution, wherein may be learned the directions for its use, and some of the remarkable cures which it has made when all other remedies had failed to afford relief. Those cases are purposely taken from ali sections of the country, in order that every reader may have access to some one who can speak to him of its benefits from personal experience. Scrofula depresses the vital energies, and thus leaves its victims far more subject to disease and its fatal results than are healthy constitutions. Hence it tends to shorten, and does greatly shorten, the average duration of human life. The vast importance of these considerations has led us to spend years in perfecting a remedy which is adequate to its cure. This we now offer to the public under the name of Arrr’s SARSAPARILLA, although it is composed of ingredients, some of which exceed the best of Sarsaparila in alterative power. By its aid you may protect yourself from the suffer- ing and danger of these disorders. VPurge out the foul corruptions that rot and fester in the blood, purge out the causes of disease, and vigorous health will follow. By its pecu- liar virtues this remedy stimulates the vital functions, and thus expels the distempers which lurk within the system or burst out on any part of it. We know the public have been deceived by many compounds of Sarsaparilia, that promised much and did nothing; but they will neither be deceived nor disappointed in this. Its.wirtues have been proven by abun- dant trial, and there remains no question of its surpassing excellence for the cure of the afflicting diseases it is intended to reach. Although under the same name, it is a very different medicine from any other which has been before the people, and is far more ef- fectual than any other which has ever been available to them. AYER’S CHERRY PECTORAL, The World’s Great Remedy for Coughs, Colds, Incipient Con- sumption, and for the relief of Consumptive patients in advanced stages of the disease. This has been so long used and so uni- versally known, that we need do no more than assure the public that its quality is kept up to the best it ever has been, and that it may be relied on to do all it has ever done. So great, indeed, haa their efficacy invariably | and infallibly proved that it bas appeared Secarcely less than miraculous to those who were acquainted with the beautifully philosophical principles upon which they are compounded, and upon whieh they consequently act. It was to their manifest and sen- sible action in purifying the springs and channels of life, and induing them with renewed toneand vigor, that they were indebted for their name. : Unlike the host of pernicious quackeries which boast of vegetable ingredients, the LIFE MEDI. CINES are purely and solely vegetable; and contain neither Mercury, nor Antimony, por Arsenic nor an other miveral,in any form whatever, They are tirely composed of extracts from rare and powe piauts, the virtues of which, though long known to several Indian tribes, and recently to some eminent pharmacentica! chemists, are altogether unknown to the ignorant pretenders to medical acience; and were never before administered in so happily ediicacious a combination.
