Miss Haywood Nurses Hear Doctors Discuss Use Of Some Newer Drugs On the third day of an Insti- tute on Nursing sponsored by the Association of Nurses of Prince Edward Island. doctors discussed the therapeutic use of some of the newer drugs, especi-I ally antibiotics, anticoagulants and tranquilizers. ' At the morning session, Dr. J. C. Theriault. lectured on tran- quilizing drugs; Dr. A.A. Mac- Vicar gave the lecture in the evening. Both doctors are psy- chiatrists asosciated with the Mental Health Division of the Provincial Department of Health. They discussed in some detail the clinical usage of newer drugs in mental illness and outlined the efficacy of one as compared with another in meeting the needs of different patients.
