The end came very suddenly on the morning of December 5th. Her remains arrived on the Island on Friday. December 10th. accompan- ied by her neice Miss Clara Hcw s and a friend Mr. Walter Butters. The funeral services were held in the Cavendish Baptist Church on Saturday afternoon. A large num- ber gathered to pay their respects to their friend, who some years ago had lived in this ccmmunity and was a kind neighbour and trite friend. P.. aii-cl a large number of nieces and nephew's. The service in Cavendish was con- ducted by the Pastor Rev. Paul Richardson assisted by the Rev. George Gough of the United Church. Mr. Joseph Davison of Kensirig IN MEMORIAM ANDREW MlclUNNON The death occurred in ithe Char- lottetown Hospital on November 15th. 1948. of Andrew MacKLnnon in his 77th year. Although in fail- ing health for some time the end was not expected until two weeks previous when he was obliged to enter the Charlottetown Hflspllal for medical treatment. But all that loving hands and medical skill could do, was of no avail. so his gentle spirit took flight heaven- wsrd to his Creator on the above mentioned date. He was the son -f the late Patrick McKlrinon and Elizabeth McKinnon of Plsquid West. He was of a quiet nature and industrious and ‘hard _ working farmer. always wiilling to help any one ln trouble. 1n 1908 he married Margaret Ellen MacDonald and shortly afterwards moved to Bar.- gor, Maine. U S A.. where he was employed in the pulp and paper mills. In 191i he moved back to his native Island again and was en- gaged in farming up until a feat years when his health began to fail him.
