He was examined by several physicians at the City Hospital this forenoon. He has two hearts and two sets* of ribs. Each heart can be moved almost down to the bottom of the abdomen, where every pulsation can be dis- tinctly felt by the hand. The pulsations of the heart are under the control of the will and can be stopped at pleasure for about two minutes by voduntary effort. The two set of ribs fit on the top of each other, and the inner layer ean be moved down so as to com- letely cover the abdomen with a bone wall. While moving the ribs he goes through the most extraordinary contortions. In addition to the double set of hearts and ribs, he has an immense arm over which he bends a_ three quarter-inch iron bar at pleasure. He has visited almost all the principal cities in the world, and has been operated upon by two of the leading physicians of Paris and New York, for the purpose of ascertaining the exact nature of the deformity.
