Mr. Edmund Gaudet, seventeen years old. son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gaudet, ol St. Louis. was out shooting rabbits in compiilly with another lad, when the twenty-two rifle, which Gaudet was carrying, went off 'and the bullet en- tered the back of his leg just below the knee. Ha was holding the gun down so that it did not point in the direction of his companion, who was walking in front of him when it ex- ploded. He was taken home by his companion and medical assistance procured. The lad was brought to the Prince County Hospital on Sunday and an operation performed on Mon- day morning, when the bullet was located near the ankle and extracted.
