The good people of Summerfield and
Gow London have. been engaged; a
season of special religious services
during the past six weeks under the
leader:-lhip of Evangelist McKay of
New Glasgow, N. S. Mr. McKay has
been engaged in vangelistic work for
the past twenty two years and his
labors have been abundantly owned
by God in the United Stnflm and in
many parts of Canada, from the
Atlantic to the Pacific. I-Ie is ii, man
of extraordinary physical energy,
mental alertness and spiritual power-
H is mighty in the scriptures and
his expositions of divine truth and
practical addresses are so forceful,
clear and interesting that he arrests
and ‘holds the attention of che people
who crowd to hear him in ever in-
creasing numbers night after night.
It is premature to attempt a state-
ment of results in Summerfield and
New London. but ill is safe in saying
tlvit there are, scores in those places
who will remember Joseph S. McKay
and those meetings with gratitude to
God for the rest of their lives and
throughout eternity as well. Mr.
McKay began a series of meetings in
French Rivor Hall this week. He ex-
pects to hold similar meetings in
Long River church after tho begin-
nings of the new year.

Alexander McLeod, a former P. E.
Island man, who is now aprosper-
ous ra-iiclier and farmer in Saskatche-
wan, has been spending the past two
or three weeks in MoncDon with his
brother-in-law, Aid. Mcl..eod,.aud left
last week for New York to spend the
winteil in American cities, returning
to Moncton in the spring. Mr. Mc-
Leod was forrnerly a resident of Bid-
oford, P. E. I. Eighteen years
ago he removed his family to West-
ern Canada, locating near Saska-
toon, and today he ls one of the
lunge wihcat growers and naiiclicrs in'
that district. He owns a farm of
eight hundred acres, and' the present
year it yielded besides other crops,
eight thousand bushels of wheat. Be-
sides bein; quite an extensive wheat
grower, Mr. Nomad raises consider-
able beef and farms generally on on
extensive scale. The farm today is
being worked by Mr. McLeod’u sons,
he himself being in a position to take
life comparatively easy. Mr. Mebeod
a doctor in the Wont. Mrs. Mclieod,
who accompanied her husband to the
East, is spending the winter with her
