Hockey: Panthers Win Nail Biter 4-3 The men's hockey ; Panthers team put themselves back over 500 by earning their eleventh win of the regular sea- son. After dropping four games in a row, the men won.a nail- biter against the Dalhousie Tigers by a final score of 4-3. The Panthers scored the first from behind. With just over 6 minutes left in the first, the Panthers defense coughed up the puck in the offensive zone to Tigers forward Dominic Noel, who slid the puck past Flick on a breakaway. The Panthers came out swinging early in the second period scoring two goals which were only 90 seconds apart. The goal of the game when John first goal was scored by Lorne Kozoriz took a feed from Joel Misita assisted by Luc Chiasson Ward only six and a half min- and defensemen Adam Rivet on utes into the frame. However just a couple of minutes later forward Joel Ward, the teams leading scorer, was given a 4 minute double minor and a the powerplay. Mark Gregory notched the Panthers third goal of the game, flipping the puck up over the Tigers' netminder. With helpers coming from Chris The third period saw lots of action as well, as Dalhousie got within one, when Ross McCain scored a short-handed goal half-way through the frame. Late in the game, defensemen Adam Rivet took an undisciplined penalty when he tripped up the Tigers' netminder putting the men on the penalty kill. Fortunately, the Panthers fought back with a short-handed goal of their own when Kozoriz notched his second goal of the game, putting the boys ahead by two with only 2:31 remaining. Lorne Misita also picked up his second point of the game with an assist on the play. Then just inched closer to a tie when Noel scored his second of the game on the powerplay. That was as close as the Tigers would get, as they were unable to capitalize on the 6-4 man advantage. Fans got to watch a game that was riddled with penalty calls and lots of powerplay attempts. This game could have had a much different outcome had either team been able to capitalize on the powerplay. The Panthers were only 1/7 on the powerplay, while Dalhousie only managed one goal on six attempts.
