Mrs. Blood was born at Irishtown and was brought up in Hope River- both her father, Martin Murphy and mother Margaret Ready Mur- phy, died when she and her brother Frank were mere chil- dren. Frank predeceased her about t enty years ago. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Otis H. French (Mary). and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Her son, Frank Blood, predeceased her some years ago. Although she lived over sixty years abroad, her heart was ever and always with the Island and its people. After regulation play the score was tied at I-1 with Anna Ramsay scoring for Elmadale at 9:35 in the first period and Helen Kennedy tielng up the game for the Maroons second period on ”an assist from Freda Smallonan. Neither teem managed a score in the final per- iod despite some desperate playing and the game went to ten minutes oi overtime with still neither side eking out a tally.
