AT I‘EOPLE'B THEATRE.-Last eveuing was the scene oi two of the ‘“°F_t 25.13 A114 Spectacular produc- tions shown in Charlottetown for quite a while, in the feature pictures entitled. "Saved from the See,” is- sued by the Dominion Feature Film Co. of Montreal, and the favorite Bi- son 101 Ranch Co., in "The Colo- nal's Ward." The happenings in these two pictures are stupendous, show- ifll wonderful directing on the part of the directors in both pictures. Mr. Hogg was very fortunate in ob- taining the "Saved From the Sea" picture ns it is being much sought aiter by managers throughout the Maritime Provinces. The picture is a powerful drama based on an interest- ing love story that holds the au- dience in a state oi wondering what its climax is. The explosion at sea and the burning ship are two very sensational incidents, not forgetting the during rescue hy a life-saving crew, ending in ultimate happiness. Patrons can always expect something exciting from the Bison people. This drama begins in the early pioneer days, when men were seeking the lands beyond the mighty rivers. As they _are pushing westward they are and blood-stirring battles ensue. Hundreds of men and women are used to produce this splendid picture in two reels, besides the fine breed ol horses shown. Of course the play has a plot and it is brought out in a very fine way, showing the In- dians’ uprising, an impressive court- martial and military execution, the plot to save the doomed Chief and the tragic death of the Indian maid- en. Mr. Ritzius is certainly satisfy- ing both the people that love the classic music and those who enjoy the lighter numbers. PERSOIIILS Rev. Dr, McMillan, Cardigan, was ln Charlottetown yesterday. J.
