In the ‘year 18r9, she was born at Cornwall, ‘P. E. L, eldest daughter of Charlotte and p the late James Howard. She leaves a f_ husband, three daughters, and six sons to mou ntheloss of a loving and devoted wife and mother. An aged mother, and it several sisters and brothers also survive `her. She was brought up from infancy l under the influence of christian home ,` teaching and example. Her mind in youth I was stored with precious truth, the Bible being her constant companion. And her `~ whole after life was a rich development of ,benefits resulting from early piety and }Bible study. At the age af 14, she was lsou-adly converted to God in the old o Methodist Church at Cornwall, under the ; ministry ot the late Rev. Dr. Pope of blessed memory. Very soon after she = found the Saviour herself, she went out to bring one of her older brothers toJesus. 'About that time she united with the ,1Coruwall Church. And during the years ' spent in the home of her youth, she was I greatly devoted to the interests of Christ's Kingdom in the church and the commun- ity. After her marriage, she and her hus- , band made their home at Fredericton P. .E.I., and her church membership was I then transferred from the Cornwall to the Pleasant Valley Church. of which she .continued until death a most consistent member. As long as health permitted, she was sele`om found absent from the ser- vices ot the church, and was ever ready I to take her part in every good work. From the time of its organization, she was a useful and faithful member of the W. M. S. at Pleasant Valley. Mrs. Weeks’ home was the home of the ministers. In the midst of her family, the influence of her life was always for good. “Her child- ren rise up and call her blessed in the name of the Lord."
