The Crown-owned company said companies with iiucb contracts have been given an extra year to reach full production so they can qualify for the maximum t of write-off. Howey... a company statement said the arrangement will apply only to producers un- able to obtain a full writeoff of capital and pre - production ex- penditures under present con- tracts. A company official said the new arrangement will have the ef- fect of increasing Eldorado's pur- chases of uranium by an amount in excess d Sl00.000.I)00. This will bring to some 81.400.000.000 the amount of uranium the company is expected to buy by March 31. 1963. Under present contracts with Eldonsdo producers are required to complete deliveries by March 31, 1982. To obtain a full writeoff of pre-production and capital ex- penditures they have to complete by that date five years of produc- tion at full-rated mill capacity. DELAYS NOTED This means that the latest date they can get Into production to qualify for a maximum write-off is March 31, 1957.
