The correspondence was read and it was decided to send S5. to the T. B. League. It was moved and sec- onded that a Christmas gift be given to Father Robin and a mem- ber who was sick. Behind these peacetime. part- time women soldiers is Major Marjorie Evis. senior staff offl- cer of the Canadian Women's Army Corps. COMES FROM TORONTO A tall. dark-eyed brunette. Tor- onto-born Major Evis is a vet- eran oi the Second World War. She was recalled to-actlive army duty in 1950. Intervieiied at army headquar- ters here, Major Evis said she acts as adviser on matters of spe- cial concern to the CWAC. Un- like the air force and the navy, there is no regular women's army. With the exception of Major Evis and five officers in the commands. CWACS are enlisted in the army militia. or reserve.
