     It was on July 2, 1938 that a group of far-seeing men and women met in Prince of Wales College to form the P.E.I. 
     
    

    
     Credit UHIOD League. They began on a modest basis but in the years since they have continually expanded until they have assets 
     
     . totalling 51.283,152.35 with saving: of 51.156.751.45. - .

     To celebrate the success of twenty years of operationltha 
     
     P.E.I. Credit Union League has invited delegates from across the 
     
     continent to attend this year's annual meeting, which is expected 
     
     to be the largest of its kind ever held in the Province. 
     
    
   
   
    
     The present directors of the Credit Union League are: Presi- 
     
     dent, J. Keir Duggan, Summerside; Vice President, George W. 
     
     Cheverie. Charlottetown: Secretary, Gilbert Gaudet, Howlan; J. 
     
     Ernest Avery, Elmira; Albert Gallant, North Rustico; Rev. Char- 
     
     les Gallant, St. Charles; Rev. T. R. Goudge, Pownal. 
     
    
   
   
    
     The meeting will open at nine o'clock in the morning and 
     
     ,during the morning session various reports will be given. Follow- 
     
     ing noon luncheon the mecting will resume with the submission 
     
     of reports and elections of various officers as well as a panel 
     
     discussion on "Cuna Mutual Insurance Society" chaired by Leo 
     
     F. MacDonald of the St. Dunstan's Credit Union. 
     
    
   
   
    
     The meeting will conclude with a banquet presided over by 
     
    
   
   
    
     Frank Strain. At the banquet an address will be given by O. H. 
     
     Edgerton, General Manager. Cuna Mutual Insurance Society. ;
