The death occurred suddenly on Thursday. July 25. 1051. of Benlamin lienry Weeks. Freder- icton, P.E.I.. although Mr. Weeks had suffered for more than a year from a serious heart ail- ment his passing came as a shock to his family and friends. During the fall and winter months he had been confined to hospital and home. But in tin spring partly by reason of his great courage and zest of life ha became able to be about again. While on a visit at the home of his sisters. Mrs. Frank and Rus- sel Nicholson. Hazel Grove. Mr. Weeks passed away in his sleep. The late Benjamin Henry weeks was born in Fredericton. P.E.l. on August 25th, the son of the late Frederick Weeks and' Grace Stevenson Weeks. He lived Ill his life in the ini- mediate area of his birthplace. where he engaged in far- ming as well as serving one of the cream routes of the New Glasgow Dairying Company. Neighbours and friends re- member Mr. Weeks as a fine citizen and a loyal friend. His ready wit and gracious manner endeared him to his many ac- quaintances. He was a long-time member of the Fredericton Chris- tian Church and sought by his life to exemplify the Christian virtues of charity and kindness. He will be greatly missed in the community and church. and most of all in his home where there are left to mourn his pass- ing. his wife, the fonner Ada MacLeod and a son Elwood. Five sisters and three broth- ers also survive. They are: Stel- la. (Mrs. Frank Nicholson); Lau- ra, (Mrs. Russell Nicholson): Mary, (Mrs. John MacLeod); Al- ice. (Mrs. Wallace Dlckiesbnl; Irene. Mrs. Harold Sharp); Roy. William and Arnold. all of Fred- CFICIOD. The largely attended funeral was held from the Christian Church on Sunday. July 28th. Ser- vices at church and grave were Jones as slated by Rev. Marvel D. Dunbar. Mr. Gordon Carow sang as a solo "Beyond the Sun- set." 'I'he hymns sung were: Beauti- ful Valley of Eden, We Shall Meet Beyond. favourite hymns of Mr. Weeks. Interment was in the Frederic- ton cemetery.
