discourse at the time of its deliverance.

cause of truth and right were they to
give utterance to the views which Mr.
Simpson promulgated. It is a discourse
much more quoted and appreciated in the

I have taken much pleasure in reading
the Island rominsecnces some of which I
myself recollect very vividly. I was born
in Casuumpec, P. E. Island in the year
l8'?¢i. My father and mother cams to that
place in 1817 from London, England in
company with agentleman bythe nameof
llill then doingameroantlle business at
the west end ofthe Island. I-Iis store was
burnt down, having been robbed and the
goods being carried away in a scow, Or
lighter. a pack of kuivea and forks hav-
ing been left in the bottom of the scow
leading to the arrest of tha perpetrators
ofthe burglary and arson. My parents
and family removed to Charlottetown in
1825 where they spent tho remainder of
their days.
Their children numbered sixteen. sight
boys and eight girls, their youngest.
child being James St. Croix Moore now
doing business in Eldon, Belfast. Wish-
