The aim of the Temperance Alliance is to up- hold leglslation for the destruction of the liquor traffic and to this end we believe in the entire prohibition as to importation, manufacture and sale of intoxicating beverages. ‘ Resolved that we express our ap- preciation of the large, popular vote of the people of this province who declared in Ibe recent Plebisclt/e that they wished to absolutely pro- hibit. importation into our province: we also appreciate the incl that our. Prohibition Act lins been approved of by tho highest courts in the li-tnii as far as the constitutionality is contrernetl, thus removing any doubts that. may have been held regarding the rights of the province to import liquor. Resolved that we urge upon our people a more hearty support of our temperance laws and their co- operation in assisting the officers of the law In enforcing the same. Resolved that we desire to place upon record our appreciation of the excellent work being done by Mr. Barbour and his assistants.
