MELVIN, a man between 55 and 60 was arrested at Andover, N. B., on the 4th. on a charge of bigamy. It seems he had been married five times. The first two wives are dead; the last three are still Jiving. Four or five years ago he married a lady in Monticelli», Me n July, 188i, he was mar- ried at Andover to Mrs. Adelia Burns, and in September, 15351, obtained a divorce at Houl- tou from = lady he married at Monticello. A few we: azo he married a Mias Fletcher, residing ober deh Fort Fairfield and Houlten. The friends of Mrs. Burns heard of it; hence the arrest. Since then the. foregoing facts have been made public.
