Lsntz who has Just returned_from Saskatchewan to permanently reside here will be the Secretary-Treasurer. The ranch is to be locatedon the outskirts of the city on the beautiful and splendidly lsitllated property known as “Kiln- burn” and the stock will include only foxes of the royal Island strain. l CROP PROSPECTS.-The recent rainfalls and warm weather have made a great improvement in all the crops throughout the Province, but none have responded to the same ex- tent as the grain. The cold weather seemed to have been favorable to the development of a good system, the result of which is being seen in the rapid elongation of the stock. At the time of writing it. looks as if the grain crop would be much better than average, and the number of entries that are made in the Fields of Stand- ,ing Grain Competitions would seem to indicate that many fields are of excellent quality. The number of prizes offered this year is, however, much greater than last year which perhaps accounts for the number of entries coming in. Full information can be had from the Department of Agriculture.
