Sydney and not Halifax or St. John will
be chosen as the site for the woiks of the
steel ship-building companv. Both the

fully convinced of the great advantage
that would result, have made hold and
generous bids to secure the prlze, but it is
now believed that their tempting prc-pcsals

l Dominion Iron and Steel Company,~itrong-
‘ ly supported by Mr. Moxhamjappears to
have convinced the shipbuilding people
that Sydney posse sses superior advantages
isullident to offset the bonuses and tax-
l exemptions offered by Halifax and St.
