You will be pleased to lay before His Honor the Adminis- trator of the Government in Council, this reply : I was at Montague Bridge the day the Tenant Union assembled there, and being unanimously called to preside as chairman, I accepted,for the purpose of hearing the Tenant Union Constitution explained, and on doing so, I objected to one of their rules that did not uphold the supremacy of the law, and have not attended any meetings since, nor do I intend to countenance any organiza- tion that does not respect the law that all'ords us protection. Private THOMAS GOODMAN, age, 22 years and 9 months; height 5 feet 8g inches; a native of Newry, Ireland; hair, brown; eyes, hazel; Complexion, Fair. TWENTY POUNDS PENALTY. By the Colonial Statute of 50 George the Third, cap. 3 any per. sons harbouring, concealing or assisting any Desorter from Her Majesty’s Army, is liable to a penalty of TNT/Hy Palm/ls. Any Sherifi' or his Deputy, and any constable, or Olliccr or Soldier in Her Majesty’s service, are by the same Act authorised to appre- hend any person suspected to be a Deserter, and take him bolorc a Justice of the Peace. FIVE POUNDS REWARD is by the same Act payable for the Apprehension of any such Deserter. NOTICE. In addition to the Reward for the apprehension of Deserters, payable by an Act of Assembly above mentioned. the sum of Seven Pounds Wlll be added and paid by the Colonial Government. Sheriffs, Justices of the Peace and Constables throughout the Is- land. are hereby required to give their prompt aid and assistance for the apprehension of the above described DESERTERS, and their safe conveyance to Head Quarters, Charlottetown.
