Dec. 15- (OP)-—A sharp fall in exports oi butler and cheese during the open- ing months of the new season re- flects the serious decline in dairy production which has occurred throughout New Zealand. Shipments of bmic" for August and September are 3,305 tons low- er at 19,308 tons in comparison with the opening months oi last season, while the export oi cheese in the same period has declined by 39o tons w 12.142 tons. Compared with the 1937-38 sea- son, September shipments oi but- ter are down by 2.656 tons. or 22 per cent. while those for the two months have fallen by 14.5 per cent.
