After two days of cabinet ses- glam, Prremier Duplessls Wednes- day announced the dissolution of the 24th legislature. elected in 1952. Mr. Duplessis will be seeking a fourth successive mandate for his Union Nationale Party. Enumeration of voters will begin May 14 and nominations for the 93 seats will close June 6. Final formalities of Selling the electoral machinery into action were completed only a few hours after Mr. Duplessis told a score of newspaper reporters in the cabinet chamber that the election date was set. BERNARD MCCABE :The death of Mrs. Bernard 0. Mccabe occurred on March 2nd. 56 at the P.E.I. Hospital. She ad entered hospital the previous day to receive treatment and her family were looking forward to her early return home. And so when news of her sudden death at an early hour reached her fam- ily and friends they were severely shocked and saddened. The late Mrs. McCabe was born May 22, 1882 at Ten Mile House, daughter of the late Thomas Smith and Elizabeth McQuald. , In 1905 she married Bernard 0. McCabe. She lived at Ten Mile House until 1918, at.that time mov- in: to Charlottetown. The late Mrs. Mccabe was an exemplary woman whose first in- terest was her home. Her christ- Ian guidance and motherly care are not readily forgotten by her family. V Possessing a generous and char- itable nature she also had a keen interest in her friends,'church and community activities. She always had a i ' welcome when the poor and needy called at her door. She will be remembered as I firm catholic who regarded this life with a true meaning. A pre- paration for the next. For the past number of years she was unable to attend church but was visited regularly by the priests of St. Dunstan's Basilica.
