There was a large attendance at
the market yesterday and prices re-
mnin as last quoted. Fruit, with the
exception ol raspberries and bliiebcr-
rics, were plentiful and met ready
sale. New hay sold at 35 to 40 cents
per cwt. and old at 50 cents; pota-
toes 50 to 55 cents.
A party in Hopeficld has lost it
bag of money. Tlic bag contained
about one liundred dollars in five,
ten, twenty and fifty cent pieces,
mostly twenty cc-nt pieces. There are
one or two rumours concerning the
prohable finding of this parcel but
*all are unconfirmed though some arf
of a decidedly suspicious nature.
